Hi, I'm Jason - a creative director and designer from Ireland, based in New York. I've worked with studios and media teams including Vox, PBS, and Unreasonable Studios, creating digital experiences that explain complex products, ideas, and stories through motion, video, and interaction. Today I run Lord Lyon & Co., collaborating with clients to design and build story-driven digital experiences that guide users toward understanding and action.
My path into digital work began in Ireland, where I completed two degrees: one in Computer Science and another in Digital Media. Studying both disciplines meant moving between the structure of software engineering and the creative side of storytelling and design.
I began my professional career in Toronto, working with startups and agencies on digital products and user interfaces. This experience helped deepen my understanding of design systems, usability, and the importance of connecting design decisions with the realities of development.
In New York I worked with media organisations, studios, and agencies including Vox, Unreasonable Studios, The Bloc, and PBS. Many of the projects involved digital experiences designed to explain complex ideas or products through animation, video, and interaction..
